Zakia Zafri says she never tried to implicate the then Gujarat CM in 2002 riots case

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Zakia Jafri, the wife of slain Congress leader Ehsan Jafri who was killed during 2002 Gujarat riots, told Supreme Court on Wednesday that she never tried to implicate the then state chief minister Narendra Modi in 2002 riots case.
Her counsel Kapil Sibal said that they have not argued at all about any alleged involvement of the former chief minister.
Sibal told a 3-judge bench headed by Justice A M Khanwilkar and also comprising Justices Dinesh Maheshwari and C T Ravikumar that they are on the issue of larger conspiracy which was not probed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
