Wockhardt Foundation wins award at India Economic & Law Summit

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) The India Economic & Law Summit, 2018 has awarded Wockhardt Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation with Outstanding Social Contribution in Healthcare” Award, for its commendable work in social service and human welfare activities.
Sir Dr Huz (Huzaifa Khorakiwala), CEO and Trustee, Wockhardt Foundation accepted the award at the hands of Former Chief Justice of India Dipak Mishra.
Wockhardt Foundation has various initiatives like Mobile 1000, Wockhardt Health Centers, Women Health programme, Little Hearts, Organ Daan working appreciably to provide awareness and healthcare services to the under privileged sections of the society.
Sir Dr Huz thanked the organisers and the jury members for the appreciation award on behalf of his team.
''Basic healthcare treatment is a right of every individual. I am glad that our initiatives are providing healthcare services to the unprivileged and rural areas, sufficing basic healthcare needs. The recognition and appreciation enhances our dedication to achieve our further roadmap servicing the needy section of the society,'' he said.
Sir Dr Huz works closely with his team for the uplift of the underprivileged section and has touched millions of lives through various initiatives of Wockhardt Foundation like Mobile 1000, Little Hearts, Pronto Toilet, Pronto Bio-Toilet, E-Learning, Khel Khel Mein, Wockhardt Skills Development Institute, SHUDHU water purification tablets and Adarsh Gram Yojana.
The India Economic and Law Summit, 2018 was organised by Legal League Consulting with Excellence awards honouring leading organisations, distinguished business leaders, policy makers and key stakeholders for their unmatchable contributions in their respective fields, according to a statement here on Sunday.
