War Memorial Museum in Ambala to display historical items: Vij

Chandigarh, Apr 12 (UNI) Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that the magnificent War Memorial is being set up in Ambala which would have a museum covering an area of 20,000 square feet where India’s First War of Independence would be displayed.
Mr Vij, who was presiding over a meeting of senior officers of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department today, said that as the spark of First War of Independence was ignited at Ambala, the State Government has decided to construct a War Memorial there to commemorate the memory of the martyrs.
He also said that arrangements would be made in the War Memorial to showcase all sequences right from First War of Independence -1857 upto Rangoon through audio-video. He said that a big lounge and reception room, memorial tower with names of martyrs inscribed on it, a library, an auditorium having capacity of 250 seats and four audio-video halls with seating capacity for about 50 persons each would be constructed in this Memorial.
