Viswanathan faces Vaithilingam at Kamaraj Nagar

Puducherry, Apr 26 (UNI) Puducherry CPI secretary and convenor for the Peoples Welfare Alliance R Viswanathan is facing strong contender and former chief minister V Vaithilingam of the Congress in Kamaraj Nagar constituency in the May 16 Assembly elections.
Though there is a six-cornered contest in most of the constituencies with the Congress-DMK combine, N R Congress, AIADMK, PWA, BJP and PMK are fighting elections alone. The main fight in Kamaraj Nagar constituency is between the PWA and the Congress candidates. Mr Viswanathan who served as member of the territorial assembly for 16 years including a minister for three years is taking on Mr Vaithilingam who is also having experience of over 25 years as a legislator and served in the capacity as chief minister and minister, with the slogan of a change.
Mr Viswanathan who had prepared an election manifesto for the Kamaraj constituency suggested that a mere change in persons at the legislative assembly will do no good, but there should be changes in principles.
There is no row at position 0.
