Vishwanath Tiwari, Jayanta Mahapatra among 4 selected for Sahitya Academy fellowship

New Delhi, Jan 29 (UNI) Famous Hindi poet Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari and English and Oriya writer, Jayanta Mahapatra are among the four writers who have been made fellows of the Sahitya Academy given their remarkable contributions to Indian literature.
In the 90th meeting of the General Council of the Academy, besides Mr Tiwari, Mr Mahapatra, the famous writer of Dogri, Padma Sachdev and Assamese writer Nagen Saikia were chosen for felowship , the highest honor of the Sahitya Academy.
Mr Tiwari, who was the president of the Hindi department at Gorakhpur University, Uttar Pradesh,
