Villagers stage protest against minor's rape in Belgavi

Belagavi, Dec 13 (UNI) Thousands of people on Friday staged a protest on the premises of Belagavi Institue of Medical Science (BIMS) district government hospital and Deputy Commissioner's office here against the sexual assault on a six-year-old girl in Kadoli village outskirts.
Villagers took out a protest rally from their village and demanded capital punishment to the 26-year-old accused at the earliest through fast track court and sectioning compensation to the family of victim under the ''Nirbhaya Fund'' immediately.
A large number of women participated in the rally who also demanded to book the accused's father under kidnap case. The villagers alleged that the father had forcibly discharged the girl from the hospital and later returned her to the parents.
