Veteran Congress leader and former Railway Minister Jaffer Shariff passed away

Bengaluru, Nov 25 (UNI) Veteran Congress leader and former Railway Minister C K Jaffer Shariff passed away in a private hospital here on Sunday.
He was 85. He is survived by a son and two daughers. His wife and a son had died earlier.
He was hospitalised after he collapsed while getting into the car on Nov 23 to go for prayers in a Masque. He was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Fortis Hospital in the city and was provided with a pace maker. But he breathed his last this afternoon, hospital sources said.
