New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday laid the foundation stone of the residential complex for Rajya Sabha employees by remotely unveiling the plaque from Uprashtrapati Niwas.
According to the Vice-President's Secretariat, Mr Naidu unveiled the foundation stone plaque of the building being built in Ramakrishna Puram area in the National Capital through video-conferencing.
Admitting that with rapid increase in urbanisation in the country, the demand for housing was set to rise sharply, Mr Naidu said to address this 'Housing for All Mission in Urban Areas' was started and reminded that he had "the honour of conceptualising and launching this mission as the then Housing Minister in June 2015."
