Vandalising of Gods' idols: BJP urges East Godavari SP for further probe

Kakinada, Jan 29 (UNI) Leaders of the district unit of BJP called on Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi at the district police office here on Wednesday and appealed to him to order for a second probe into the vandalising of Hindu Gods' idols in the main road of Pithapuram town recently.
The delegation, headed by Chilukuri Ramkumar, district president; Y Malakondaiah, former president and Cheduluri Gavaraiah from Hindu Dharma Raksha Samithi, have expressed that it was not the handiwork of a single individual, as presumed by the police, but part of a greater conspiracy, involving a particular group.
They said the police so far arrested just one accused, identified as Adapa Madhukar and attributed it to his mentally-disturbed condition.
