Uthappa, Rahul take Kerala to commanding position over Delhi on Day One

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 9 (UNI) Powered by Robin Uthappa's fine hundred and a spectacular 97 by P Rahul helped Kerala to take a healthy total of 276 for 3 in the opening day of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A encounter against Delhi at the St Xavier's College Ground at Thumba on Monday.
Robin Uthappa scored 102 while Rahul missed his well deserved hundred just three runs away after he was trapped before the wickets by Vikas Mishra.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, Rahul and Jalaj Saxena gave Kerala a solid start with a 68 runs opening stand. Saxena was dismissed by Tejas Baroka after caught by Lalit Yadav.
