US Consulate currently scheduling limited visa appointments : Johanna Sanchez

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (UNI) Ms Johanna Sanchez, Vice Consul at the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad has said that the consulate is currently scheduling limited visa appointments, as well as limited routine American Citizen Services, to ensure the health and safety of applicants.
Speaking at the webinar on “Higher Education in the United States and Student Visa Session” organized by Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) in association with US Consulate, Hyderabad and Education USA on Tuesday, she said that the consulate is processing some H-1B, H4, student/exchange visitor cases, and limited tourist and business (B1/B2) appointments, as well as accepting Interview Waiver (IW) applications for all visa classes.
“In order to qualify for a student visa,” Ms Sanchez said, “applicants must convince the Consular Officer that he or she is a credible and qualified student, and is able to pay for the planned studies, and has credible post-education plans”.
