UPA regime achieved better than Modi Govt under start-ups India programme--Congress asserts

New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Congress has accused the Modi Government of failure in creating conducive atmosphere for the start ups India initiative and asserted that the previous UPA Government performed much better in facilitating new companies. The opposition party said in a tweet that the NDA Government's achievements under the start up India initiative were poor as compared to the performance of the previous UPA Government. Under the UPA regime during 2012-13 and 2013-14 number of newly registered companies was 92,383 and 98,437 respectively, against the corresponding figures of 64,395(2014-15) and 60,489(2015-16) under the present NDA Government", the party claimed in the tweet. "Our actions speak louder than their words", the opposition party quipped. Instead of theatrics, if Modi Govt actually worked, it could match INC in creating an environment for start-ups, it said.
