University of Mysore ranked 54 in the country

Mysuru, Apr 9 (UNI) The century year old University of Mysore has been ranked 54th among Universities and stands overall at 80th position among institutions of higher education in the country, as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
The rank list of educational institutions was released and the University of Mysore, which ranked 36th among the universities in the 2017 list, had not figured in the top 100 in 2018.
Vice-Chancellor of University of Mysore G Hemantha Kumar said that this year’s ranking was a big jump compared to last year when the university could not break into top 100. “This year we are the top public university in Karnataka and our aim is to break into the top 20 public universities in the country,” he added.
