Union Minister reviews projects taken up in underdeveloped district of Manipur

Imphal, June, 8 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Power & Heavy Industries, Krishnan Pal Gurjar on Wednesday had a review meeting of various developmental projects/schemes, under the government of India, which are being implemented in Chandel district at the conference Hall, DC Office Chandel.
The Union Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, to bring development in underdeveloped areas of the country, the central government had identified around 144 most underdeveloped districts in the country and of which Chandel is one of them.
In all of these districts, special emphasis is being given to the proper implementation of all the developmental projects and schemes in all the sectors like Health, Education, Sports, Infrastructure, Electricity, Drinking water etc. so that these areas are at par with the other developed district.
