Kolkata, May 22 (UNI) Two teenagers - Pushan Sadhukan and Souradeep Chatterjee - the students of South Point School in the city, drowned when their boat capsized in Rabindra Sarobar during a cyclonic storm on Saturday, police investigating the mishap in south Kolkata said on Sunday.
The duo among other five while practising for a Regatta, to be held on Sunday, fell in the stormy weather around 4.30 pm, drowned after their boat turned turtle throwing them into the turbulent water.
Whilst three others swam to safety, Pushan Sadhukan and Souradeep Chatterjee drowned. Their bodies were retrieved after hours of searching by the divers of a Disaster Management team. Their bodies were taken for post mortem on Sunday.
