Kolkata, May 22 (UNI) Two teenage rowers died when their boat capsized in the Rabindra Sarobar - a South Kolkata lake - during a cyclonic storm on Saturday, police said.
The duo, along with three others, was practising for a Regatta, to be held on Sunday, when their boat got caught up in the storm and turned turtle. The five rowers were thrown into the turbulent water, but three of them swam ashore.
The bodies of Pushan Sadhukan and Souradeep Chatterjee were fished out after hours by the divers of a Disaster Management team.
