Two IPL playoff matches in Vizag on May 8 & 10

Visakhapatnam, Apr 24 (UNI) The Vivo IPL 2019 12th edition two cruical playoff matches will be held at Dr YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium here on May 8 and 10.

Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for allotting two crucial playoff matches.

ACA, which is known for its commitment to conduct International matches with perfection has got the reputation of taking up the challenge of hosting matches with short notice thereby gaining the confidence of the BCCI Officials.

This is not the first time that ACA is hosting International events at a shorter notice, ACA Honorary General Secretary Ch.Arun Kumar said in a release here on Wednesday.

In 2016, when the High Court of Maharashtra did not permit to hold six matches in Maharashtra, the ACA has conducted all the six matches with a short notice of 15 days.

Likewise, in last year, when Indore could not host the ODI between India and West Indies, ACA took up the responsibility and hosted the match successfully at Visakhapatnam, he said.

Keeping in view of the earlier IPL officials visit to Vizag stadium, all necessary arrangements are being made and in progress.

The ground is in excellent condition, all galleries are decorated by BCCI, Heavy telecast equipment was already installed in the stadium to meet the telecast requirements, Mr Kumar added.
