Two arrested for illegally refilling gas from big to small-sized cylinders in Pune

Pune, Mar 27 (UNI) The city police have arrested two people for their alleged involvement in clandestinely refilling liquefied petroleum gas from big domestic gas cylinders into small-sized ones and then selling the same into open market.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Sinhagad police station raided a premises at Dhyari village and there, they found two people were allegedly sneakily refilling small-sized cylinders with gas from big cylinders, resealing it and then selling it into open market for financial benefit, police said.
Police have seized 28 small and big sized cylinders from accused persons and filed a case under sections 285, 34 of Indian Penal Code as well as under provisions of the Essential Commodities Act.
