Agartala, Nov 27 (UNI) At least five people, including a police inspector, were killed in a violent attack by a mentally unstable man in Ramchandraghat area of Khowai last night, police said on Saturday.
The accused was arrested later with the help of the local residents. Police somehow managed to save him from the violent mob.
According to report, the accused Pradeep Debroy of Sheoratali locality in Ramchandraghat had gone berserk suddenly on Friday midnight and brutally killed his two minor daughters – one was one year old and the other seven years old with a crowbar in the house leaving his wife Meena Pal Debroy seriously injured. When his elder brother Prabir tried to stop him, Pradeep hit his head with the crowbar and killed him on the spot.
