Tripura CM visits propose site for AIIMS like hospital

Agartala, Jul 18 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister today visited Nripendranagar tea estate area under Bodhjungnagar real estate cluster behind industrial growth centre of Agartala to set up AIIMS like hospital in the state.
The government has identified the locality in the abandoned tea garden spread over 200 acre of land near Agartala for setting up the AIIMS like hospital with the sponsorship of the central government. The chief minister said that for improvement of the healthcare system, Tripura needs support from AIIMS like infrastructure.
The same proposal was given in 2014 when the Modi led government came to power for helping the state. Union Health Ministry had asked the Tripura government to provide at least 200 acre of land in prime location having smooth road and air connectivity for consideration of the proposal of setting up AIIMS in the state but previous government could not formalize it, chief minister recalled.
