Guwahati, Dec 8 (UNI) Several trains have been diverted, partially cancelled or cancelled in Tinsukia – Namrup – Simaluguri mainline (single line) section in eastern Assam due to derailment of a goods laden train this morning.
"Due to the derailment of goods laden train at about 6.40 am today between Naharkatiya and Duliajan station under Tinsukia division of N.F. Railway running of trains over the Tinsukia – Namrup – Simaluguri mainline (single line) section is blocked," a Northern Frontier Railway (NFR) statement said here.
As a result of this derailment, several trains have either been diverted via Simaluguri - Sibsagar Town – Dibrugah section or partially cancelled/cancelled.
