Traders will boycott Chinese goods

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) To pay tribute and homage to martyrs of Pulwama incident on behalf of trading community of the Country, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) called for a Bharat Trade Bandh on Monday and called for boycotting of Chinese goods in the country.
''In the wake of China supporting the Pakistan, the CAIT has decided to launch a national campaign to boycott Chinese goods,'' the trade body said in a statement on Sunday.
To pay tribute and homage to martyrs of Pulwama incident on behalf of trading community of the Country, the CAIT has called for a Bharat Trade Bandh on February18 in which commercial markets across country including Delhi will remain closed and no business activity will take place.
During the Bandh all wholesale and retail markets all over the Country will observe a complete trade bandh.
The CAIT has also demanded that Navjot Singh Siddhu should be immediately sacked from Punjab Cabinet.
In Delhi, the traders across the city will hold a Shraddhanjali Sabha at Chandni Chowk, Ghantaghar to homage and respects to the martyrs and will demand that the government ''take stern revenge of Pulwama incident''.
CAIT National President BC Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that the entire trading community of the country comprising 7 crore establishments stands in solidarity with the nation at this national grief and if need arises were fully geared up to give any support and cooperation to the Government.
Mr Bhartia and Mr Khandelwal demanded Congress President and Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh sack Navjot Singh Siddhu from the Punjab Cabinet for his uncalled-for remarks on Pulwama incident. They also demanded the Government withdraw security cover from the persons who are supporting Pakistan.
The trade leaders said that the Bharat Trade Bandh across the Country will be peaceful and only business establishments will remain closed. Essential items and public transport have been kept out of Bandh.
