Tourism officers appointed in 20 embassies to promote India as tourist destination: G Kishan Reddy

Panaji, Dec 4 (UNI) Union Minister of Tourism, Culture G Kishan Reddy on Saturday said that tourism officers have been appointed in 20 embassies to facilitate tourism and promote India as a tourist destination.
Speaking to reporters, he said the decision has been taken to open tourism sub division offices in embassies of all countries from where tourists visit India.
He said the Tourism Ministry was working in close coordination with the Health Department, Civil aviation Department, Home Affairs and External Affairs Department to help foreign tourists who were visiting India.

Border Force jawan Amol Patil cremated in Nashik

Nashik, Jan 17 (UNI) The mortal remains of trooper Amol Himmatrao Patil (30), who was electrocuted while on duty on the Bihar-Nepal border, along with his two colleagues, last week, were cremated with full military honours at his native Bolthan village in Nandgaon tehsil of the district on Monday.
