ToR of modality committee for tribal development of Tripura approved

Agartala, Jul 27 (UNI) The Council of Ministers headed by chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb yesterday has approved seven-point terms of reference (ToR) for the Modality Committee proposed to be formed by the Centre for addressing the socio-economic, cultural and linguistic issues indigenous people of Tripura.
Formation of the high-level modality committee by centre was one of the key highlights of vision document of the BJP before elections. The seven-point terms of reference focused on seven points- ADC empowerment, economy, language, culture, land rights, education and healthcare to ensure an all-round growth of tribal people.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said that the terms of reference will soon be sent to Centre based on which the Modality committee might suggest a suitable package for overall development of the indigenous people.
