Tollywood actor Dwijen Bandyopadhyay dies at 68 of cardiac arrest

Kolkata, Sep 27 (UNI) Tollywood actor, theater personality and academician Dwijen Bandyopadhyay died here today following a massive heart attack, family sources said. He was 68. Born in this city on September 22,1949, Dwijen Bandyopadhyay, who was suffering for some time, breathed his last around 0205 hours at his Pallysree residence, Bijoygarh, in south Kolkata. Dwijen Banerjee was known for acting particularly Jaatishwar (2014), Jekhane Bhooter Bhoy (2012) and Autograph (2010). Graduated in Commerce from University of Calcutta, Dwijen Bandyopadhyay was lecturer in drama at Rabindra Bharati University. His first movie was Hawa Bodol and latest Bastab, which was released this month only. His mortal remains would be kept at the Academy of Fine Arts in south Kolkata, where he staged many a dramas, before cremation. UNI PC BM
