Three Assam youths charred to death in Meghalaya

Shillong, April 17 (UNI) In a shocking incident, three youths from Assam were charred to death and the vehicle which they were travelling was set ablaze in Meghalaya by unknown persons, police said on Wednesday.
The charred bodies recovered from one freshly dug pit filled with fresh soil was found near the vehicle inside a dense jungle near the village Link Road connecting Rogu Alda village under Rongjeng PS in East Garo Hills district, around 1.5 km from NH-217 connecting Dudhnoi – Damra – Rongjeng – Baghmara, a police official said.
The deceased have been identified as Jamor Ali (35), Zahidul Islam (25) and Noor Ahmed, the driver of the ill-fated vehicle.
