New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Announcing the poll schedule for Lok Sabha Election 2019, the Election Commission of India on Sunday told around 10 lakh polling booths will be used for polling.
Briefing the media, the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said there is an increase of 10 per cent in the polling booths comparison of the last LS election which was around nine lakh in 2014 election.
"All the polling stations will have the basic amenities like drinking water, separate enclosure for casting votes and other facilities. Wheel-chairs for old and aged persons will be available at the polling stations," Mr Arora said.
Apart from Voter Id Card, a voter can caste his vote by producing the 11 types of the documents, he added.
