Telecoms call drop report by month end: TRAI

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is likely to publish the call drop report of telecom companies by the end of this month.
TRAI Chairman R S Sharma hinted this after a meeting with telecom operators here on Tuesday.
Telecom operators raised many issues in their meeting with TRAI, including app-based calling, rationalisation of taxes and infrastructure expansion woes.
“We had very fruitful discussion with industry players. They were unanimous on some of the issues that TRAI should deal with in this year like OTT(over-the-top) consultation, one country one licence, infrastructure related issues, rationalisation of taxes under GST. There were 6-7 issues that they want the regulator to look into,” TRAI Chairman said after the meeting.
