Telangana’s blockchain district forges new partnerships with Bitfury, ISB

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) The blockchain event held at ISB Campus here on Saturday saw an overwhelming turnout with a celebration of Hyderabad’s vibrant Blockchain community.
The event saw the signing of new partnerships held between Telangana Government and BitFury, ISB and MLRIT.
A logo on Blockchain District and website also were officially launched by Telangana Principal Secretary ( IT) Jayesh Ranjan, on the occasion in the presence of NITI Aayog.

The logo was selected based on a competition conducted among students of Jawaharlal Nehru College of fine Arts and Architecture (JNAA), Hyderabad.

After several rounds of consultations with industry and academia, the Telangana government had conceptualised a Blockchain District, which aims to be among the world’s top 10 leading Blockchain Technology ecosystem by proactively driving key initiatives for developing talent pool, infrastructure, research & innovation and community building.

''Blockchain District provides a platform which enables the stakeholders to collaborate co-create and build solutions in blockchain technology, which today is at a nascent stage, but has enormous potential in the coming years'', Jayesh Ranjan said.

Telangana being the hub of innovation and technology would always strive to be the first mover in tech-domains, he added.

Government of Telangana, IIITH, C-DAC and Tech Mahindra are the founding members who launched Blockchain District and have been engaged in several initiatives since then.
