Hyderabad, Aug 7 (UNI) Telangana registered 2,207 COVID-19 positive cases in the past 24 hours, which is the highest single-day spike in the contagious virus cases in the state so far, taking the cumulative cases to 75,257.
This is the third occasion when the state has recorded more than 2,000 positive cases on a single day. On July 31, the number of positive cases recorded by the state was 2,083,while on August four the cases registered were 2,012.
With 12 more people succumbing to COVID-19 till 2000 hours on Thursday, the overall toll mounted to 601, according to a bulletin issued by the state health department on Friday.
