Telangana BJP MLA, party workers arrested for protesting

Hyderabad, Jun 27 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Raja Singh and several party workers were arrested when they tried to lay seize to the Secretariat complex in Saifabad area of the city on Thursday, protesting against the government's plan to put up a new Secretariat in the existing complex in the name of 'vastu'.
The BJP leaders and cadre were protesting in response to a call given by the state unit of the party opposing the construction of new Secretariat and Legislature complex.
Mr Singh said that the government was squandering public money to the tune of Rs 600 crore for the construction of new Legislature and Secretariat complex instead spending for the larger good of the people.
