Tech Mahindra launches six months certificate course in Logistics, Supply Chain management

Visakhapatnam, May 26 (UNI) Tech Mahindra foundation, the CSR arm of Tech Mahindra limited has launched six months certificate course in Logistics and Supply Chain management in association with the CII institute of Logistics here on Saturday.


Addressing the media after the launch here, Chief Operating Officer of the Tech Mahindra Foundation Chetan Kapoor said the foundation works was in progress in the areas of education and employability through identified partner of NGOs. As a part of employability, the foundation runs more than 100 Tech Mahindra Smart vocational training centers in 12 cites offering short-term vocation courses for free of cost to the unemployed youth.

After completion of the training, the youth were extended placement support in the open market.
So far, more than 50,000 unemployed youth have been trained through these SMART centres and of which, around 70 percent have been received placement support, since the inception of smart program in October 2012.

Mr Kapoor said the Tech Mahindra foundation has launched the certificate course in Visakhapatnam based on the local requirement, industry trends of the vizag city and the thought process of the state Government.
He said after completion of the training, the students will be offered internship opportunities in various organizations and placement assistance will be given to all those students who complete their training and internship.

Air passenger growth to be at 4 3 per cent in FY26: CARE Ratings
