Guwahati, Oct 20 (UNI) As West Indies prepare for the five-match ODI series against India after their white-wash in the two-Test series, the visiting captain Jason Holder today said that his team was going through a ‘transitional phase’.
“We have a good bunch of players, a young side. It won’t be easy (against India), which is probably the best ODI side at present. But the youngsters will benefit,” he said, on the eve of the ODI series opener here.
He pointed that consistency was vital and the benchmark has to be set high and said, “Consistency is needed and we are looking to work on it. The batsmen are at par but the benchmarks have to be increased.”
