New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday said the tax proposals in the Finance Bill, 2019, are aimed to improve the ease of living and reduce pain of the citizens while promoting 'Make in India' and digital payment.
'Intent of the government is to ensure minimum government and maximum governance. Ease of living is the primary driving force of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which dominates every thing we do with regard to taxation,' Ms Sitharaman said in her reply in the Lok Sabha where the Premier and Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah were present.
The Finance Bill, 2019 was passed by a voice vote.
