Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 29 (UNI) Tata Power Solar, India's largest solar energy company and Tata Power's wholly-owned subsidiary, on Friday launched a campaign here in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, encouraging consumers to install the residential solar rooftop solutions and utilise the natural resource which is available in abundance.

The campaign, was flagged off by Suresh Laxman Ganeshkar, chief engineer, MSEDCL, Aurangabad, in the presence of senior dignitaries from the government along with other key decision-makers from the corporate industry in a city hotel.

This initiative inspires the power consumers to adopt sustainable resources for the energy requirements.

The campaign has so far witnessed a successful launch in 30 cities across the country and expected to cover 60 additional cities in the coming months, with the intent to promote solar energy, as the installation is expected to save up to Rs 50,000 per 5kW per year.

To create a native connection, Tata Power Solar is organising various activities like Marketing Van activation for the residents to engage and inform them on the benefits of adopting solar energy.

Commenting on the initiative, Praveer Sinha, managing director and chief executive officer at Tata Power, said, "This new campaign will encourage the consumers to move towards cleaner and greener solution.
