    Annual grant of ward monitoring committee increased to Rs 24,000: Nitish

    Patna, Aug 28 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the annual grant of ward monitoring committee had been increased from Rs 12,000 to 24,000
    per year.
    Mr Kumar while launching various schemes of Panchayati Raj , Urban Development and Housing, and Public
    Health Engineering Department (PHED) through video conferencing, said that
    annual grant of ward monitoring committee, had been increased from
    Rs 12,000 to Rs 24,000. Ground water in 14 districts were affected with Arsenic,
    12 districts were affected with Iron and 11 districts were affected with Floride, he added
    Chief Minister said that all consumers availing the facilities of piped water should pay Rs 30 per month for maintenance. Persons responsible for monitoring of safe drinking water system would be paid retainer amount of Rs 1000 per month while earlier they were being given Rs 500 per month, he added.
