T-govt to create crop colonies based by using Big Data analytics: Jayesh

Hyderabad, Oct 16 (UNI) Telangana Government would create crop colonies across the state by utilizing Big Data analytics, said State government Principal Secretary ( IT and Industries) Jayesh Ranjan here on Wednesday.

Addressing delegates at the inaugural function of a 3-day convention on Big data in Agriculture 2019 organised by ICRISAT here, Jayesh said the concept of crop colonies was under progress in the state and the government is working closly with International Crop Research Centre for Semi-arid Tropics (ICRISAT).

Expressing hope that Big Data tools will certainly enhance the yield and income of framers, he said the government will develop algorithms based on the date available to make agriculture cultivation remunerative.

The Big Data would be useful for not only governments and farmers, but it would also help seed, fertilizers, financial institutions and other other market intermediaries, he added.
