T-govt decides to procure Electro mechanical equipment only from BHEL

Hyderabad, Oct 16 (UNI) Telangana government has decided to purchase Electro Mechanical equipment required for the prestigious Mission Bhagiratha project, from the public sector Bharat heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) even as the government earlier called for tenders for it.
This decision was taken by Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao in a review meeting with the officials on ‘Mission Bhagiratha scheme’ aimed at supplying drinking water to every household in Telangana state, at his camp office here today.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to purchase all equipment including motors and pump sets required in large quantity for the project taken by the government to provide piped drinking water to every household in the state as the private companies are bargaining in prices though tenders called for it.
