New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) All India Mahila Congress Sushmita Dev has strongly condemned the Hapur gangrape calling it an act of violence and lashed out at the BJP alleging that it uses women security as a political moot point for electoral gains.
She further attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi who in campaign mode saying that he has absolutely no moral right to raise the issue like Alwar rape, while he remains silent on Unnao, Kathua, Mandsaur and now the Hapur rape incident.
She said that the UP CM has turned women safety into a joke given the repeated incidents of police refusing to register the complaint after being approached by the women.
