Surjit Hockey: Air India enters semis

Jalandhar, Oct 28 (UNI) By virtue of their better goal average Air India, Mumbai entered the semi-finals of 35th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here this evening.
In Pool C Air India and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Delhi played a 4-4 draw. Both teams earned four points each after two league matches. Air India beat BSF by 4-0 and ONGC beat BSF with 3-1. Due to better goal average Air India reserved their berth in the semi-finals.
Air India dominated the proceedings from the word go. In the 12th minute, Air India’s Faraz Mohd. opened the account with penalty corner conversion (1-0). In 18th minute, Abharan Sudev converted second penalty corner for Air India (2-0). In 25th minute Air India’s Shivender Singh scored field goal (3-0). At the end of first half score was 3-0 in favour of Air India.
