Students' union elections : Committee to meet on Nov 15

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said that a meeting of four-member committee constituted for conducting students’ union elections in universities and colleges in the state, would be held in his office here on November 15.
The Minister said that Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Tankeshwar Kumar was the chairman of the committee whereas Vice-Chancellors of Maharshi Dayanand University Bijender Kumar Punia and Indira Gandhi University Madan Lal were nominated as Member Secretary of the committee.
Regarding the protest of students of Maharishi Dayanand University for students’ election today, Mr Sharma said that the meeting has been scheduled on November 15 to review the report of the committee. He urged the students not to waste time in protests.
