Stuart Broad fined 15 percent of match fee for using inappropriate language

Dubai, Aug 11 (UNI) England pacer Stuart Broad has been fined 15 percent of his match fee for using inappropriate language after dismissing Yasir Shah during the 1st Test against Pakistan in Manchester, ICC said on Tuesday.
Broad has been also handed one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. It was his third offence in a 24-month period, taking his cumulative demerit points to three.
"Broad was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match," the ICC said in a statement.
