Strike by nearly 10,000 contractual para medics impacts healthcare services in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Aug 6 (UNI) The strike by nearly 10,000 contractual para medical staff has adversely impacted the health care services in the state, especially in the Sadar Hospitals located in 24 districts.
People who turned up at the hospitals for Corona and other lab tests, ECG or X Ray had to face immense difficulties and some of them had to even carry their sick relatives in their arms to move around the hospital.
However, the state government is contemplating to declare the strike a criminal offence.

COVID-19: Toll in Bengal rises to 4,421; Highest single day casualty on Monday

Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) The COVID-19 toll in Bengal rose to 4,421 with the death of 62
persons on Monday, the highest so far on a single day since the first casualty to pandemic
was reported in March end, while the tally touched 2,28,302 with 3,165 new confirmed
cases.
