Srinagar, Feb 19 (UNI) Alleging that unseen forces were behind drug trafficking, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today said more and more people were becoming drug addicts in the Kashmir valley, where 70,000, including women, and about 70 per cent students were drug addicts.
Alarmed by unprecedented levels of drug addiction, President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan, in a statement said, unseen forces were involved in peddling and promoting of drugs in Kashmir.
He said these forces were using their touts and agents who received financial and material assistance for trafficking drugs and youth were particularly being targeted and initially drugs were gifted to them till they became addicts.
