State BJP president bats for ONORC

Gangtok, Aug 4 (UNI) BJP's Sikkim unit president Dal Bahadur Chauhan on Wednesday defended the 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme and said that the debates and discussion on the scheme are welcome, as debates raise the public's awareness regarding issues.
"We are a democratic party and allies of Sikkim Krantikari Govt at Centre and State. We have heard all the discussion on it and found discussions moving in the wrong direction. As One Nation Card will give minimum Food security. Nothing will be taken out of the share of people of Sikkim. It is to give security to those who go from one District of Sikkim as also from different States of the country" he said.
Citing example of Mid Day meal given to students, he said "it is going on well no one from Bihar or Jharkhand or any other State for that matter has come here to avail of it."
