Start 'State Institution for Defections': AAP

Panaji, Jul 18 (UNI) Aam Adami Party (AAP) in Goa on Thursday said that government would do better in investing in an institution that could be used to teach as well as do research on the habitual defections by MLAs, particularly from the Congress Party.
In a statement, AAP Goa Convenor Elvis Gomes said,''Defections and the art of defecting has become an interesting subject that will have many takers from across the country as Goa had much to offer to those keen to learn about political defections. Budget is about dishing out figures that have no relevance to the common man unless there is performance on the budget, which has not been seen in the last three years of rule by defections. By presenting, the budget they have only shown some respect to the Constitution which is considered to be in danger.”
Mr Gomes said the government had nothing to show and, as was expected, was taking shelter behind building memorials and statues, and pouring of concrete everywhere.
