SRH bowls out Punjab Kings for 120

SRH bowls out Punjab Kings for 120

Chennai, Apr 21 (UNI) Aiming for its first win of this edition, former champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
bowlers rose in unison to bowl out Punjab Kings to a modest 120 in 19.4 overs in the IPL match here today.
In a battle between the two bottom placed teams, Punjab's decision to bat first, backfired as they lost wickets at regular intervals.
This is the lowest IPL total of this edition at the Chepauk stadium.
There was no worthwhile partnership as SRH spinners and pacers struck in tandem to peg the Punjab batsmen on the backfoot.
Left arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed picked three wickets, left arm spinner Abhishek Sharma two, while Bhuvaneshwar
Kumar, Rashid Khan and Siddarth Kaul claimed a wicket each.
Skipper K L Rahul (four) was dismissed cheaply early on by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar as Punjab collapsed from 39
for one in 6.5 overs to 82 for six, losing five wickets for 43 runs in the next 6.5 overs.
Opener Mayank Agarwal (22) fell to left arm pacer KhaleelAhmed, Nicholas Poora was run out without facing a ball
and Chris Gayle (15) was trapped in front by Rashid Khan.
Then left arm spinner Abhishek Sharma struck twice. First he trapped Deepak Hooda (13) in front and Moises Henriques misread a flighted delivery and was stumped by Bairstow as Punjab were reeling at 82 for six in the 14th over.
Local lad M Shahrukh Khan struck two sixers in his 17-ball 22, before holing out to Abhishek at deep midwicket fence off Khaleel Ahmed, as Punjab were bowled out for a below par total.
