Chasing a total of 286 runs in 50 overs, Hong Kong got off to a flying a start as their opening pair of Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath put on 174 runs to surprise everyone. Anshuman Rath dismissed for 73 runs in the 35th over off Kuldeep Yadav, Rohit took a catch at Short cover. Debutant Khaleel Ahmed Dismmised Nizakat Khan for 92 in 36th over. The debutant struck again as he got Christopher Carter's wicket for 3 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal got his first wicket of the match when he dismissed Babar Hayat on his individual score of 18 runs, it was Honk kong's fourth wickets for 199 runs. After that, Hong Kong kept loosing their wickets at regular interval.
They scored 259 runs in their 50 overs. Chahal and Khaleel got 3 wickets each. Shikar Dhawan was adjourned man of the match.
Earlier, Hong Kong captain Anshuman Rath won the toss and opted to ball first.
