SpiceJet conducts seaplane trials in Krishna reservoir

Vijayawada, Dec 13 (UNI) The SpiceJet, the country’s major player, took a major step forward in its goal of providing air connectivity to the remotest part of the country as it conducted seaplane trials the reservoir of Krishna at Prakasham barrage, in association with Japan’s Setouchi Holding, on Wednesday.
The seaplane trials were conducted in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju in the river Krishna, upstream of Prakasham barrage.
The Chief Minister went round in the seaplane at its trial run over the river. SpiceJet CMD Ajay Singh said that SpiceJet is the only Indian airlines to explore air connectivity through water bodies such as rivers or inland water ways.

Two JNTUK students selected for prestigious Amazon education programme

Kakinada, May 1 (UNI) Two girl students of CSE first year of JNTUK College of Engineering – G Padmapriya and M. Kavitha - have been selected for the prestigious Amazon Future engineering programme in the National level competition.
