Speaker court has no right to give verdict on merger or demerger of party: JVM

Ranchi, Feb 21 (UNI) Lawyer of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) Raj Nandan Sahay today said that the speaker court has no right to give a verdict on merger or demerger of any party and it is against his working area.
Addressing a Press Conference at the party headquarters here, he said that any recognised party can only be merged or demerged on the basis of the constitution which has been laid down by the Election commission of India therefore the decision of the speaker Court would be challenged in the High Court.
The court of Jharkhand assembly speaker Dinesh Oraon yesterday in his verdict declared the merger of six MLAs into the BJP as valid and had cancelled the petition filed by former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi and his party colleague Pradeep Yadav.
